Your First Visit at SoWA
During your first visit, we will provide you with all the information you need regarding orthodontic treatment and financial options so you may decide what option is best for you.
What to Expect
Once you book your complimentary consultation online or over the phone, you will receive an email or text message with New Patient Forms to complete prior to your visit. These important forms allow us to verify necessary information, including insurance coverage, prior to your visit, to allow for efficient use of our time together.
This first visit will last approximately one hour. Upon arrival at our office, you will be greeted by our team, who will help with any questions you may have.
After taking some photos and digital X-rays, Dr. Esther Lin will provide a thorough exam, explain her findings, discuss your goals, and recommend a customized treatment plan for your specific needs. Photos and digital X-rays taken at this visit help Dr. Lin accurately diagnose and plan for your treatment.
Our team will then review information about costs and payment options so that you may begin treatment when you are ready.

Orthodontic Treatment Cost
The cost of treatment varies based on individual treatment needs. During your initial visit, we will:
- Go over your specific treatment fee
- Customize payment plan options that fit your budget
- Explain how your insurance benefits may help reduce your costs
What Does Your Investment Include?
We believe in full transparency. When you begin treatment with us, your investment includes:
- Orthodontic records: photos, digital x-rays, models, 3D imaging throughout treatment
- Treatment fee for all appliances and all in-office procedures and visits (appliances are designed to last the entire treatment period if the patient follows proper care instructions)
- One set of final retainers
Note: Additional fees may apply for appliance or retainer replacement due to loss, misuse, or breakage.
Insurance
We accept most major insurance providers, which helps lower your upfront cost.
If your insurance policy changes before benefits are fully paid, please contact our office right away so we can update your account accordingly.
